Chuck Jacobson, B.S.Data Manager, Webmaster
|
Chuck Jacobson maintains the UFMDC Research and Clinical database. The database is used to gather information on our patients' disorders, how their medical and surgical treatments are helping them and various demographics. The power of our database comes from the multidisciplinary nature of our team and the fact that nearly all of the patients who visit our physicians want their information to be used to further our clinical research.
Chuck supervises ten pre-med volunteers who assist with data entry, preparation of scale and questionnaire packets for clinic, and editing of videos from clinic visits. He also measures the locations of patients' deep brain stimulation leads using the same UF-developed software that Dr. Foote uses to find the initial target.
Chuck developed this website for the Movement Disorders Center and now maintains and updates it.
